For several years, I was a contract writer for a faith-based organization called The reThink Group. I was in a writer’s room of six and wrote a script a month that would be broadcast in churches all over the world. In this group, I learned about matching my voice to the overall tone of the program and implementing notes in a timely manner. For three years, I served as the sole writer on a five episode summer series featuring an entirely new cast of characters. During my time with reThink, I had the equivalent of two feature film’s worth of pages produced every year. It develop the discipline that is the core of my writing work ethic today.
